Flirting with the Unknown by Rob-Caswell Flirting with the Unknown by Rob-Caswell
Me and Ptrope's Archer conversion project is finally nearing a close. This is (hopefully) the final textures and details, on display... not counting the possibility that Santa will stuff some landing gear into her wells.....

Archer class scout mesh created by Mark Azevedo - www.3dmaz.com. Ship design by Masao Okazaki. OBJ conversion and enhancement by Ptrope w/ texture support by me. Background by WhiplashD whiplashd.deviantart.com/

This view nicely shows of the nonconcentric ovals that I used to construct the primary hull. That's my favorite part of the ship.

It's an interesting ship when it comes to hunting for attractive angles. They are not hiding where one might expect... at least not in the same spots for a Connie. But when you find that right perspective, this ship REALLY shines.

I've usually tried to make ships attractive from the" beauty view" of Enterprise approaching at an angle with the nacelle fronts visible over the top of the saucer. This ship is a bit short and squat for that, but even bulldogs look attractive from certain angles.

A most excellent choice for background and placement.

I really do love this ring image. It's certainly better than I could do even given enough time.
