I always wanted to see what this ship actually looked like, back when I saw the film. It whizzed by SO fast on screen.

Nice work. I was a kid and saw that film in the theater. For its time it was far better than most of the other offerings and a good updating of the book. Adam West played the mission commander killed in the crash.
Thanks.

Yeah, in its day it was a pretty neat film. It hasn't aged too well, but I can still admire it within its original context.

I don't know, I think it has aged a lot better than many others if you keep in mind the time period.
I think one of the best tests would be that while a lot of movies made at that time made an appearance on MST3k. This film didn't.
Still I love seeing work like yours which pays tribute to something from my childhood.
Again my thanks.

glad you got the adam west reference, i think the ship flashing by so fast is what made it so facinating to me, no stately procession like 2001. gems like this piece are one of my favorite things about d.a. thanks again my brother. george

which of the landers is batman riding in? this piece is so wonderful, the movie was my favorite when i was a kid and i was always so bummed that there was no really clear shot of the ship, i drew picture after picture trying to get it right, you would not believe the charge i get out of this one. thank you so much!
