Description
Six Class I starships gather in Earth's orbit for the official rollout ceremony of the Constellation II. More than a mere replacement vessel, she incorporates a variety of technical improvements since the last Connie cruised out of drydock thirteen years ago. Not the least of which is the fact that she's the first production Starfleet vessel to carry a cloaking device.
The Constellation II will be the test bed for the new technololgies that are due to be retrofitted to the rest of the Constitution class in the next four years. Called the DEG upgrade (Developmental Enhancement Group), these will bring the Constitutions back to the cutting edge on which they were spawned.

An interesting picture ... though with the second Constitution, why the change on the Naval Construction Code? Because the first was thought more of a prototype?
