Number Six...

Number Six...

Number Six....

From "By A Rose By Any Other Name", the hijacked Enterprise hauls stern to the Andromeda galaxy at, like, warp a jillion. DAZ Studio render. Enterprise model by Aggi, converted to OBJ by my buddy, the irrepressible Celticarchie celticarchie.deviantart.com/ .

Say, were these books that cheap, at $1.95 when they came out??

Nope.
Cheaper.
When Star Trek 12 came out it was $1.75.
My copy of Star Trek 2 was sixty cents.

Oh no, mashed potato, you haven't seen any strange lights in the sky recently? Developed an urge to sculpt a weird mountainous shape in your living room with the neighbours chicken wire and half the garden have you? :abduction:

I figured I needed to exaggerate the speed element.... cause, well, that's what they did in the episode! ;) I'm just a copycat....

Warp a jillion but they still never made it to Andromeda.
They encountered the same energy barrier as the one they ran into in "Where No Man Has Gone Before", but no one got turned into funny-eyed super beings that time (maybe because of the same Kelvin technology that enabled them to pass through the barrier rather than be forced to turn back?) Having a super crewman around might have been a handy weapon against the Kelvins if the plan involving getting them all to feel their inner human didn't work. I was always oddly disappointed thyat the episode didn't end up that way. :-)

Probably another bottle of Aldeberan whiskey, as was the case in the STNG episode 'Relics' when the guest-starring Scotty found another bottle of green booze.

Well there was only so much Trek to write about. The series wasn't open-ended. Remember, most of these were written when it was a dead and cancelled TV show... and even before the animateds started.

Fantastic shot. I don't remeber, did they make it as far as the Barrier in that episode? It's a long time since I watched- or read -that story.

You should sen them to Pocket Books. If they ever do a reprint, these covers would look awesome!

Knowing NY publishers, they'd rather use some favorite from their own art stables. It's a tough nut to crack, these days.

Now I'm waiting for these like when I waited for the actual books. Warp a jillion? Ah, but on what scale? They seem to change from series to series. Number Six? Wasn't he "The Prisoner"? BTW many likes for this one.
