Seekers 5 by Rob-Caswell Seekers 5 by Rob-Caswell
And finally, the last Star Trek spinoff novelization from an alternate history where copies of this series were even seen sitting on the desk of President Robert Kennedy. This volume completed the adaptation one-season run of the show, starring Robert Conrad and Bill Cosby. Sadly.... in both timelines... scribe Fredric Brown died, in both our timelines.

This book contained some of the most popular episodes:

- The Gods Thought Otherwise
- Inverse Humanity
- The Seven Moons of Romulus
- The Hive
- Hatred is the Longest Pleasure

==============================

All done (for now). DAZ Studio and Photoshop. The Archer class scout mesh created by Mark Azevedo - www.3dmaz.com. Ship design by Masao Okazaki. Poser/DS conversion and enhancement by Ptrope w/ texture support by me. Space creatures by.... Traveler, maybe?? Background by Frostbo... and then a WHOLE lotta photoshop mucking.

Although I rarely comment on your book covers, they really are the bee's knees. Always consistently cool and dynamic.

It's got that total "1970's Bantam" look to it.  Now someone needs to write a rocking story about what's going on there :)

Hear that, seen some less than inspiring covers lately, some 30-minute generic photoshop imagery creeping in. :(

Yep - it's in a pretty sad state. At least in the U.S.

In retrospect, Victor Buono's overacting in "The Seven Moons of Romulus" really destroyed all the nuance present in the original text... but I suppose he felt he had to do something to get the audience's eyes off Marianna Hill in that metallic bikini...

Wha..... there was someone else in that episode BESIDES Marianna Hill!??! ;p

I'm unfamilar with the names of the episodes. Which one guest starred Robert Culp? That one was fantastic. I always wondered what would happen if his character ever met Spock... and who could forget the one on the Planet of the Sirens with Diana Rigg and a really young Lynda Carter, wasn't that one of her first roles?

:D :D,
Mike

I figured, alternate timeline, she pulls a Lauren Bacall and winds up in Hollywood right after high school, could happen... ;) :D

If only the cat hadn't peed in that box of books - I really loved Brown's writing style, and the illustrations that started off ever story always captured its spirit, even if they never really matched an exact scene from the episode (but then, I think I read that Blish probably drew them from the initial scripts).

Glad you preserved them - and they have well-earned 'character' from years of use :).

I just wish they had filmed the second half of "Hatred". Ending a series in the middle of cliff-hanger just sucks.

There's only one thing that gives this whole series away-the art is too consistently good! Ya had me with the cover--but i'd DESPERATELY love to see Trek episodes with those titles!

Totally, we just got a television station added about a year ago that has all old shows, and some of my favourites on there have been The Wild Wild West, Baa Baa Blacksheep, and The Bill Cosby Show. Who would have had which role, though?

so this is "no art for me tonight" ? :)
I'm glad you didn't met your forcast.
I like the whole design here, again. And I'm particularly fascinated by those space-creatures!
They are sooooooo roaring 60ties! :)
(and did Conrad and Cosby really play in Star Trek shows??....or was that in that alternative timeline you're talking about?)

Well... what I meant was "no art before I go to bed".
Then I woke up at 2am and had the art itch that needed scratching!

Conrad and Cosby never appeared in a Trek series (in our timeline...), but it sure could have been cool!!! :D
