TMA-2

One of the coolest things about working in the 3D medium is that sometimes you get ideas that may have otherwise eluded you when you're viewing a scene from an unplanned camera angle. I was setting up the lights on my McCall homage when stumbled on this view of Discovery against Jupiter and it really struck me. So I dropped a camera and decided to come back once I'd finished the McCall piece.

I guess I like this so much because a) it gives a good read on the overall shape of Discovery, and b) it's pretty unlike any view we saw in the movie. You know me.... always looking for a fresh view It is a bit reminiscent of Drell-7's excellent Discovery image fav.me/d3a7v6w , but it wasn't a conscious copy on my part
