I kind of developed a reputation for my unconventional angles on known hardware, like the Enterprise, but this view is all too conventional. And that's why I like it. It evokes the view we saw so often in Star Trek: The Animated Series and I have such warm, fuzzy memories of those days. So this is largely an homage to that era... albeit with "contemporary enhancements" as the Enterprise gets some survey assistance from the recently created (our time) Archer class scout, the U.S.S. Rama. A shuttlecraft with some gathered interstellar gas samples circles around to the hanger deck for a landing.
