The Day The Universe Tore by Rob-Caswell The Day The Universe Tore by Rob-Caswell
Reusing a background that I created for the Clarke voyages and repurposing it for... well a DIFFERENT cosmic catastrophe ;)  Starring the USS Endeavour (model by Aggi) and the Columbia (by Lord Schtupp and reworked by Mr Tricorder). Rendered in DAZ Studio 3.

I didn't have any specific reference in mind, though folks are talking about something sorta like this that happened in Dr. Who. What I had in mind was either a propagating collapse in fabric of spacetime or the beginnings a new universal phase shift. Either one is BIG badness.

Oh, thought it was perhaps some Trek reference. Sounds similar to the Big Crunch theory of the end of the universe.

The one thing you DO NOT WANT to hear from a time lord, or a mad scientist when commenting on something this scale. Ooops.... so sorry, misplaced one tiny decimal point.=P (Razz)

"...a DIFFERENT cosmic catastrophe..."

How many times did the studio re-use the Mutara Nebula from WoK to represent the strange cloud-of-the-week in TNG?

Love this image, especially the POV angle on the ships, and how it almost feels like they're flying through a blue sky.

Mm. I didn't consider the sky comparison before.

I sort of mentally added-in a 1960s USAF fighter jet before I realised it was a space setting... Oops!:slow:

I really ought to stop watching my re-mastered TOS collection at 3 am... It's scrambling what little mind I've still got...
