The Meta Vision by Rob-Caswell The Meta Vision by Rob-Caswell
Greywolf-Starkiller just finished his Meta Probe model [link] , based on the ship seen in the first episode of "Space:1999" so I thought I'd take it for a spin.

His model loads in different sections. This allows you to rearrange many of the ship's components (or even kitbash with them). I've done a few tweaks here, moving and rotating some pieces.

My idea was that this was a publicly released poster by the World Space Commission designed to get people excited about the project. Of course, like most projects, details change from drawing board to flying execution. And deadlines always get overrun....

DAZ Studio render.

love it
not my fab from 1999, I always thought the cabin area should have been bigger, like the Ultra probes

Ah well. I agree. You can always make your own "reimagined" version. ;)

Um..is this the ship that was in the freaky, scary episode with the 'Space Dragon'?

Much cheers to you and yours.

Nope. That was the Ultra Probe. Sorta similar looking... but only sorta.

The cabin. *Nods*

I just remember being freaked out by the monster. Still gets me some times in fever dreams.

Much cheers to you and yours.

You are not alone there. The spaceship graveyard... the probe crew opening the airlock hatch... the pilot trapped in the forward section as they're being killed, one by one...

Not an episode I'd care to watch on my own.

*Nods* Yah...that was a great piece of writing etc. :)

Some memories, though not good, are great 'cause we remember the other good things about the shows which gave them to us.

Much cheers to you and yours. :)
