Treaty Insurance by Rob-Caswell Treaty Insurance by Rob-Caswell
I just stumbled on Mattymanx's Poser conversion (via Foundation3D) for David Metlesits' thefirstfleet.deviantart.com/ TOS Dreadnaught and couldn't resist playing :D I'm petty happy to finally have this ship to use. I tried doing the conversion myself, but there were some glitches beyond my abilities to address. Dave did a great job (again!) on the mesh :D

DAZ Studio.

I want one...

Paramount really blew it by not making this 'official' In my heart it is.

BAH! Paramount's "official" blessing doesn't mean crap. It had Roddenberry's blessing. That means more to me.

The Dreadnought i'm building is from two of the 18" cutaway Enterprises...the U.S.S. Thunderchild, from War of the Worlds..

Heh - I always though the three-nacelle thing was a little odd, but the design certainly has developed an on-sight reputation for power and awe.

That's probably why when the Klingons see one of them, they go a-running. ^_^

I always wanted to see one of these in the original series. They looked so awesome in the Star Fleet technical manual.

That's one dangerous-looking ship, there. Love the silhouetting against the lens flare.

I'm pleased you blessed my lens flare. I always feel kinda cheap pullin' 'em out the old tool kit...;p

It's not the tool, it's the user :D. In this image, you used it to create almost a negative space of the ship - very smart :D.

What's the deflector on the rear do? Is there a shuttle bay?
It is a really interesting design

The dishes are not only deflectors but also sensors... at least they used to be in the good ole days when this ship was designed. So I'm guessing the rearward facing dish is primarily enhanced sensor capability.

The shuttlebay is on the front of the secondary hull, above the primary nav deflector/sensor and below the neck.

It was the mark of a true purest to use the "old" D-7 -type Battlecruisers (although was partial to the D-7C :) ) to utterly kick the ass of all the new "kewl" designs. Likewise if using the Classic Fed CA/CC design, or Gorn CA :D

Not quite yet :)
Doing some actual vacation vacation down in Texas, and looking at some possible sites for next year. Only thing there is its been so dry, water levels are WAY down. Still, have a few spots that will look interesting :)

Didnt get as much footage this year being later, but did get some good stuff :D
